What a caller does
In a rueda, couples dance in a circle and one voice shouts the next move. Everyone changes at the same moment, partners pass along, and the circle keeps turning.

You do not need to know the moves. You need to hear your name for them, and that is the caller’s job.

Bring nobody
A rueda is the easiest way to arrive alone. You will have danced with everyone in the circle before the hour is out.

I am originally from Mexico, where people usually learn to dance Latin music socially. With friends, with family, in the street, at parties.

My first formal contact with Cuban salsa was around twelve years ago, in Mexico City.

I will be your caller during the rueda de casino workshop, and my goal is for everyone to learn some new moves while having fun together.
