You do not need a partner and you do not need to book a course to start. Most of the weekly ones open with a class for beginners, and the social follows straight after.

One-offs / workshops
Single dates rather than something weekly, and they can be weeks away, so these are the ones to put in a calendar. Some are a workshop on their own, some are a party that opens with a class.
